O*NET

O*NET (Occupational Information Network) online contains hundreds of standardized and occupation-specific descriptors on almost 1,000 occupations covering the entire U.S. economy. O*NET defines the key features of an occupation as a standardized, measurable set of variables called "descriptors".  O*NET Online is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor. Look under "O*Nets Sites" for additional  resources offered, including a Spanish language version and a site tailored for veterans.
